ABOUT SAMOA - TRANSPORT

Of the 2,100km of roads in Samoa, just under 20% are paved. The paved roads circumnavigate the islands, with the other roads being dirt rural access roads.

A number of airlines fly to and from Samoa and other destination points in the South Pacific. These include Samoa Air, Hawaiian Airlines, Polynesian Airlines, and Inter Island Air.

Upolu
Faleolo International Airport (APW) is located 35km west of Apia.
Fagalii Airport (FGI) is located 5 minutes drive east from the centre of Apia.

Savaii
Maota Airport (MXS) is located 10 minutes drive south of Salelologa.
Asau Airport (AAU) is located at the north-western end of Savaii.

An airport bus service is provided by P&F Schuster Tours for airline passengers, between the major hotels in Apia and Faleolo International Airport.
