Location
Located on a pristine turquoise lagoon, amidst miles of white sand beach, Coconuts is a part of the traditional Samoan village of Maninoa. Residents of the surrounding villages serve as your hosts and hostesses, in this incredibly relaxed and beautiful setting. Located just a half hour drive from the bustling town of Apia, Coconuts feels like it’s worlds away, with a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful tropical grounds, a stretch of a sandy beach, and the pristine waters of the lagoon awaiting your discovery.

Accommodation
All of the Rooms, Suites, Fales and Villas at Coconuts feature traditional Samoan architecture and local materials.

ROYAL BEACH VILLAS The most spacious and luxurious suite of villas available in all Samoa. A complex of 3 villas comprised of two one storey beach villas (Pule and Ali’i) flanking an immense, two storey central villa (Matai). Architecturally unique with split-level design, exposed beam-pole ceilings and 180 degree views, enhanced with local hardwoods, lava rock walls and beautiful quartzite tile. Open air bathrooms with lava rock "waterfall" showers. The villas are connected via covered bridge, and can be booked as an entire suite or individually. Perfect for anything from one couple to families or groups of up to ten people.

BEACH FALES Approx. 15m from the sea. 1 or 2 BR, air-conditioned. Split level with a separate sitting area. Unique ’open air’ bathrooms with black lava rock walls, tile floors, sunken bath & shower under a rock waterfall. The 1 BR has king-size bed, 2 BR has 1 king & 2 twin beds in second room. Thatched roofs, bamboo trim & island décor.

COCO SUITES Very spacious, comprised of a bedroom with king size bed, and a sitting room with sleeping facilities for one or two additional adults. Two full, ensuite, open-air bathrooms, featuring lava rock “waterfall” shower. Individual covered terrace area, extensive use of beautiful slate floors, teak and bamboo furniture and local materials throughout.

TREEHOUSE ROOMS Stunning ocean views. Spacious rooms featuring slate and hardwood floors, bamboo four-poster beds. Uniquely styled bathrooms with two-person bathtub with a view and stone tile floors and walls. Large decks with lounge chairs and hammocks.

All rooms, suites, fales and villas include coffee/tea making facilities, fully stocked mini-bar (stocked daily with beer, wine, soft drinks and water), private bathroom facilities, in-room safes, air conditioning an ceiling fans. Rates include round trip airport transfers and complimentary use of kayaks and snorkeling gear.

For surfers, there are several great breaks within paddling distance of the resort, and even more a short boat ride away. Surf guiding services can be arranged by Coconuts.

Directly in front of the hotel, about 300 meters out, is a very nice right break, aptly named "Coconuts"! Further west along the edge of our turquoise lagoon are two or three other breaks. One, named "Catapult" after one of the favorite (and most potent) of Mika’s tropical cocktails, is a thick and mean right break. Another, called "Tafitoala", has been a popular left break. Heading east down the beach from Coconuts are at least two more breaks,including a left called Siumu, lying offshore from the village of the same name. This is a good paddle from the beach, out a reef cut with a strong, outgoing current.

A short boat ride further east down the coast, off the Aganoa Black Sand beach, are two more great breaks, a left and a right. Both of these are an easy paddle from the beach if you choose to approach by car. The left, called Boulders, is one of the most popular in Samoa. Of course, in Samoa, that sort of popularity only means that you might see someone else out there once every odd Saturday! Aganoa Beach is also a great, sandy bottomed swimming beach, with beautiful snorkeling reefs on each side of its small bay and virtually no currents.
